FlashRite #1 EPDM Black Roof Pipe Flashing 5-45 mm (Metal Roof) BAL12.5

FlashRite #1 EPDM Black 5-45 mm is a high-performance flashing designed specifically for water-tight sealing of pipe penetrations through metal roofs. Built to withstand Australia’s harsh climate, this boot-style flashing offers long-term reliability and exceptional durability.

Features & Benefits

  • Material: UV-resistant EPDM rubber (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) engineered for durability in outdoor conditions.

  • Pipe size compatibility: Suits pipe diameters from 5 mm up to 50 mm on 25° roof pitch, and 5 mm up to 40 mm on 45° roof pitch.

  • Base size: 120 × 120 mm—suitable footprint for typical metal roof profiles.

  • Temperature performance: Withstands extreme conditions from -40 °C to +115 °C.

  • BAL Rating: Suitable for installation in BAL 12.5 bush-fire zones (black EPDM version).

  • Polymer advantages: Ozone and UV-resistant compound for long life; backed by a 25-year material warranty.

  • Designed for metal roofs (e.g., Colorbond®, zincalume, galvanised steel) with matching profile shaping.

Applications

Ideal for sealing small-to-medium pipe penetrations through metal roofs in residential and commercial buildings. Common uses include:

  • Vent pipes

  • Cable or conduit penetrations

  • Sensor or antenna mounts

  • Roof accessory penetrations
Its compact size makes it perfect for tight roof-profiles or low-pitched roofs.

Why Choose This Flashing

Choosing FlashRite #1 gives you a trade-approved flashing solution that’s built for Australian conditions—from salt-laden coastal exposures to high UV inland zones. The EPDM material resists hardening, cracking or splitting, giving you peace of mind that your roof penetration remains sealed and safe. The 25-year warranty adds confidence for both installers and building owners.

Installation Notes

  • Ensure roof surface is clean, dry and free from loose debris before installation.

  • Cut the cone of the flashing to suit the actual pipe OD; ensure snug fit without damage to the polymer skirt.

  • Seat the flashing into the metal roof profile shape, aligning with up-slope and down-slope direction.

  • Fix the base using appropriate corrosion-resistant screws with rubber washers at 20–50 mm spacing (preferably Class 3 or 4 self-drilling screws).

  • Seal the interface around the base with compatible neutral-cure sealant if required; do not apply sealant between flashing skirt and pipe unless specified. For retrofit installations: split the shoulder if required, carefully install around existing pipe and restore roof sealing.

Equip your roof penetration job with the FlashRite #1 EPDM Black 5-45 mm — a compact, high-quality flashing solution that performs in real-world Australian conditions.
